There was no tea thrown over the Maple or Monroe Bridges decades ago, yet Spokane has steeped itself in tea culture. A national tea brand, a teahouse tucked away with draped ivy, your late-night tea spot, and high tea downtown or in the Dishman Hills- there are plenty of ways to fill your cup in our city.
The tea scene is nothing short of a handful of quality and uniquely quaint spaces. Some require a reservation, some would love to welcome you in on a whim- each with a reason to sip and a little longer. Whether you are new or town, or hoping to revisit a favorite spot, these local teahouses are highly recommended.

Torra Tea
The best value in the area, Torra Tea has taken Spokane by storm with its modern take on high tea. The tea collective pays homage to Scotland, the owners hope guests feel like they’ve entered a castle when dining with them. Offering not just tea and sandwiches, but Scottish inspired dishes and delicacies for guests to enjoy. Fostering community and connection, Torre Tea is a special fixture that has come to life in Spokane’s tea scene. The price hovers around $40 for a multi-course menu including a selection of teas to enjoy. Plus, the food is phenomenal!

Revival Tea
Sitting down with Founder, Drew Henry, on the Trending Northwest Podcast, I was moved to become an investor after hearing his story of starting Revival Tea. Founded by his love for family and something other than whiskey, tea became his focus. Now, with two locations in our area, one downtown Spokane and the other downtown CDA – Revival Tea has grown into the nation’s fastest growing tea company. They feature a wide variety of custom-blended teas for drinking and/or purchase to take home. You can even have a custom blend made just for you.
The ambiance is like an old-school apothecary. Walking inside from Main Street and down their stairs, the Revival Tea Lounge is moody and sophisticated – which is great for a tea outing with anyone at all. The casual, industrial feel makes the whole tea experience very approachable.

Brambleberry Cottage & Tea Shoppe
Brambleberry has the sweetest spot in my heart, my grandma, mom, cousins, aunts and I would go when I was very little. We would dress up with large hats, long gorgeous gloves, and feathery boas- like queens of the day and sip our tea at Brambleberry Cottage. The tea shoppe has since moved to their newer location on Pacific Avenue, yet still holds the same feel as its past space. Pulling up to park, you are greeted by a home out of a movie. With a welcoming porch, guests are whisked away into the cottage, the cutest tea world you’ve ever stepped foot in!
Be sure to give them a call and check the hours before you visit, because it is only open seasonally.

Lunarium
Known as a late-night tea destination, Lunarium is a popular spot on Monroe Street. Boasting ‘Late Night Tea, Coffee and Treats,’ Lunarium welcomes in all walks of life at all types of hours! Their menu lists a lovely lineup that anyone can choose from, including cold brewed tea, Vietnamese coffee (hot or iced) and soups of the day. Don’t forget to order one of their absolutely delicious scones! Order your tea by the pot and enjoy the company of some of the coolest people in the city. They also have fantastic local events regularly, so check out their social media page for details. They are even hosting a local production crew that is making a sitcom right in their store!

Afternoon Tea at the Historic Davenport
Downtown’s most historic hotel, the Davenport, hosts an elegant high tea experience, but it is the most expensive option, so book with that in mind. Your reservation provides scones and pastries made by the Davenport’s in-house culinary team with finger sandwiches for dining as well. Sip on your tea with your favorite family members or gals as you leave the downtown hustle and bustle outside.
