  • Save the date, Spokane — this is the one you do not want to miss!!! On Saturday, July 26th from 11 AM to 6 PM, catch the magic of @33artistsmarket at one of the most beautiful venues in town - @thepergola.509venue. We are proud sponsors of 33 Artists Market, and we are loving getting the sneak peek of how gorgeous it’s going to be!!! It’s an absolute stunner, and the only thing that will make it better is the fact that there will be so many artists, delicious food, drinks and music with a whole block party vibe. 🎉

Picture this - 60+ incredible artists from all over the Inland Northwest bringing their best work — from original art and ceramics to handmade jewelry, wearable fashion, prints, and more!! This is your chance to meet the makers, discover something new, and take home pieces that actually make you feel something. (And yes, it’s okay if that “something” is pure joy over finding the perfect pair of earrings by @gwynpevonka or dreamy abstract painting.)

And what’s a summer market without the vibes? 🎶 DJ Darrien Mack of @rosethrow will be spinning all day long, so expect a soundtrack worthy of your best dance-walk. You’ll also be able to grab killer tacos from @sasquatcho_taco, fuel up with @icedoutcoffee1, and sip a cocktail or mocktail from the bar while you explore — yes, they thought of *everything*!!!

We’re so proud to partner with 33Artists Market for this one and to watch it keep growing in beautiful, unexpected ways. Come for the art, stay for the energy of these phenomenal humans, and leave with something fun. 🌸✨

  • ✨HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SUMMER!!! To me, this image is EXACTLY what summer should feel like. Sparkling light, summer softness, and a reminder to slow down and actually *see* the season.

This photo by incredible local artist Karen Mobley did exactly that. A stand of Delphinium catching the sprinkler just right—and suddenly, it’s pure magic.

Tell me - when was the last time that something stoped you in your tracks? ☀️

  • Happy Juneteenth, friends!!! Juneteenth is about joy, resistance, and truth—and it deserves more than just a quick mention in your feed. One of our incredible contributors and @spokanenaacp President, Lisa Gardner, put together a powerful piece breaking down the historical weight of this day. She doesn’t sugarcoat it—after the Civil War, while newly freed Black families were figuring out how to survive and rebuild their lives, white Americans were busy recouping losses. Federal troops were pulled out of the South. Slaveowners were literally paid reparations. And the systems we still fight against today? They started building them back then.

Today we remember the moment in 1865 when the last enslaved Black Americans in Galveston, Texas finally heard what they should’ve known two and a half years earlier—that they were free. It’s a celebration of liberation, yes, but also a reminder of how long justice can take to travel and how much further we still have to go.

If you read one thing today, make it Lisa’s article. Because understanding the real story of Juneteenth means we stop treating it like a feel-good footnote—and start using it as fuel to do better. Read it, sit with it, and let it move you forward. Visit TrendingNorthwest.com to learn more about this important national holiday!

  • Women support women, period. 🩷 We are celebrating five seasons of the Trending Northwest podcast today, and all of the amazing women (and men) that we have been honored to connect with.

You can listen to our podcast anywhere you stream yours by just searching Trending Northwest. Each episode is filled with heartfelt conversations helping you to get to know the Northwest one person at a time, and learn a little bit about yourself in the process.

We are so proud of this project that started as something that Melissa and I used to cure our boredom during the pandemic and later became the foundation of our entire media company. Now, Jordy has joined as a guest cohost when her busy schedule allows, and she has made me a better interviewer. The whole project is all about sisterhood and learning. 🩷

I am so proud of all of the work that we have done over the past five seasons, and look forward to countless conversations to come! 🥹

A special shout out goes out to Vinnie Davi, our producer, for sticking with us through every single episode since the very first day. You are a real one! We love you! 🫶🏻

  • 😍 My two favorite things, dinner and a show with my favorite person! We absolutely LOVED seeing Mama Mia at @broadwayspokane AND dinner at @vieuxcarrespokane (which I think is one of the best in the city). AD

This show was full of energy, color, and sparkle - a total must-see. All of your favorite songs, packed with foot tapping dance numbers and so much heart. This cast left everything on the stage, and huge props to the band for doing the score justice. 🎶

Vieux Carre is just a hop over the river from the theater, and they specialize in New Orleans inspired cuisine that’s the closest I’ve had to the real thing here in Spokane. After living near New Orleans for a couple of years and spending time in the city, these are the flavors that I crave. Pro tip - the CATFISH is absolutely unreal here. 🥘
