October is here, and the activities and lederhosen continue! Our region is home to some of the top breweries and tap houses and this is the time of year they truly shine, welcoming you to drink and eat until your heart is content. The Northwest is filled to the pint with Oktoberfest activities and Trending Northwest Magazine has the full October list for you. From Spokane to Seattle, Odesa to Oregon, here are the festivals worth going to this month. Have fun and drink responsibly!

Oktoberfest in Western Washington


Moss Bay Oktoberfest
Taking place in Kirkland, the Moss Bay Oktoberfest comes to life Oct. 4-6. The event hosts multiple event stages, acres of biergarten, and waterfront views of Kirkland and beyond.

Oktoberfest NorthwestPullallup

Hosted at the Western Washington Fairgrounds from October 4-6 in Puyallup, Oktoberfest Northwest offers the traditional Oktoberfest experience. You will find Bavarian bands and dancers, plenty of brew and delicious food. There’s a market selling German items, plenty of things to do for kids, and so much more. Check out ticket prices here.

Leavenworth Oktoberfest


Leavenworth Oktoberfest is probably the most legendary Oktoberfest celebration on the entire West Coast. For years, this gathering has been hosted in the picturesque Bavarian village of Leavenworth, Washington. True to tradition, this celebration will feature live music and a massive selection of German imported beer and wine. You can also soak it all up with bratwurst, sauerkraut, soft pretzels, beer cheese and more.

Leavenworth’s Oktoberfest is October 4-5, 11-12, and 18-19. Leavenworth Oktoberfest tickets are $15 on Friday and $30 on Saturday and weekend passes are $40. For tickets and more information, please visit https://www.leavenworthoktoberfest.com/

Oktoberfest in Eastern Washington & Spokane

German-American Society Oktoberfest
The German-American Society will sponsor this celebration on Saturday, Oct. 5, beginning at 4 p.m. The internationally renowned band Oompa’s and Ma’s from Odessa, Washington will be playing throughout the day, as will accordion player, Norm Seeberger. Oktoberfest at Arbor Crest

Running 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 5 & 6, you will be able to sample a selection of Square Wheel Brewery Beers and sip on Arbor Crest wine with enchanting views on the Estate. There will be Oktoberfest menu items, or you can bring your own picnic. Food is served until 4:30 p.m.

Oktoberfest at the Melting Pot

If you love beer as much as you love gooey cheese and chocolate, this is THE plan to make with family and friends. They have a fantastic selection of Oktoberfest beers and for the first time ever, you can order their seasonal specialty cheese a la carte if you’re on a budget. In the mood to really celebrate? Their Oktober FondueFest 3-Course, a limited-time experience worth savoring with your whole crew. Start with a rich Bavarian Beer Cheese Fondue, served with grilled bratwurst at the table, tender short rib, soft pretzels, followed by a crisp salad and finished with the indulgent Black Forest Chocolate Fondue. Oktoberfest at Loyal Legion Beer Hall – Portland

Oktoberfest at Loyal Legion in Portland claims to be “the largest beer event in the world.” Each year, the beer hall brings out its special 25oz steins so folks can really “lean into the big German beer energy.” All Oktoberfest beers are available in a stein for $8 and there are many food specials to choose from. Last night of the event is Tuesday, Oct. 3, at both SE Portland and Beaverton locations.
