Your Montana stay awaits inside the luxury of the Clark Farms Silos, a one-of-a-kind getaway that feels just as magical as it looks.

The drive to Kalispell is part of the experience itself. Rolling mountains, dense forests, and the occasional waterfall make the journey feel peaceful and almost cinematic. It had been years since I last visited Montana, so everything felt new again, like seeing it for the first time.

When I first came across Clark Farms Silos, I immediately knew I had to go. A renovated grain silo with sweeping views near Glacier National Park? It felt too unique to pass up. And honestly, I had never seen anything like it before. Kalispell was such an incredible weekend destination and I am so honored that Clark Farm Silos hosted our magical weekend getaway.

The Journey

We started our drive from Spokane around noon, full tank of gas, snacks packed, bags ready, and that giddy excitement that only comes with heading out on a getaway. I was completely over the moon, knowing the weekend ahead would be something special, even if I didn’t yet know just how magical it would feel.

Depending on where you’re located in Spokane, the drive is a little over four hours. It’s the kind of road trip that doesn’t feel long, thanks to the ever-changing scenery and the anticipation of what’s waiting at the end.

The Stay

The moment we stepped out of the car, it didn’t feel real. I had seen photos, but being there in person was something entirely different. We pulled up to Silo Three, unloaded my Outback, and stepped inside, instantly settling into the start of our weekend escape.

And of course, I wasn’t alone. I brought my favorite travel partner, my now fiancé, Eli, which made the experience even more special.

The silo itself was spotless, with every detail thoughtfully curated. The bathroom was fully stocked with hand soap, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. They even provided beach towels for lake days and sunscreen, such a small but incredibly thoughtful touch for summer visitors.

The kitchen had everything you’d need: plates, bowls, mugs, utensils, and more. But my favorite detail? A fresh bag of local coffee, with the option to brew it using either a pour-over or French press. It’s little things like that that elevate the entire stay.

When it comes to sleeping, the silo comfortably fits two to four guests. Downstairs, there’s a pull-out couch, while upstairs accessible by a stunning spiral staircase you’ll find the bedroom. And not just any bedroom, the bedroom. A large, cozy king-sized bed sits in front of a massive window that looks directly out onto the mountains.

Waking up to that view felt surreal. It’s one of those moments where you just pause and take it all in.

Our first night was slow and intentional. We soaked in the views, unplugged from the outside world, and enjoyed being fully present with each other. No distractions, no stress just time together in one of the most peaceful places we’ve experienced.

Exploring Kalispell

The next morning, we set out on what I’m calling the great Kalispell adventure. And like any good day, it started with coffee. We had so many people tell us we had to try Ceres Bakery, and let me just say, they did not disappoint. Delicious pastries paired with great coffee? It truly doesn’t get better than that.

After breakfast, we made our way through downtown Kalispell, wandering unfamiliar streets and popping into local shops along the way. A few of our favorites included Modern Pastime, Honey Home & Design, Rocky Mountain Outfitters, and The Bookshelf. Each one felt unique and added to the charm of exploring a new town.

After shopping, we headed to the Glacier Art Museum, which is housed in a former library building. Inside, you’ll find an incredible collection of local and regional art. One of the standout features during our visit was the display of Marge Dodge’s work, she created thousands of pieces throughout her lifetime, and her impact on the art community is undeniable. What made the experience even more special was the inclusion of student artwork. The museum showcases pieces from high school students across the region, and honestly, the talent is unreal. It’s such a meaningful way to support and celebrate local artists, both established and emerging. If you’re in Kalispell, this stop is absolutely worth your time.

We also made our way to the iconic Conrad Mansion Museum a must-visit when you’re in town. Built by Charles Conrad, the mansion is a stunning 23-room Victorian home that has been beautifully preserved. Walking through it truly feels like stepping back in time, with original furnishings and details still intact. They offer both self-guided and guided tours, and I highly recommend opting for the guided experience if you can it adds so much depth to the visit. The museum also stays actively involved in the community, hosting events like their annual Mother’s Day Tea & Tour which coming up in May! Check them out here. It’s such a unique and memorable way to celebrate, with a touch of history and elegance.

Of course, no trip is complete without great food. While we were only in Kalispell for two nights, we found a few standout spots that are absolutely worth a visit.

Our first dinner was at Desoto Grill, and wow this place lives up to the hype. It’s a true Kalispell staple with a rich history and seriously incredible food. I ordered their famous brisket sandwich, and it was melt-in-your-mouth good. If you’re a BBQ fan, this is a must! Plus its located in one of the original Kalispell buildings from back when Kalispell was founded!

We also stumbled upon Ranger Joe’s Pizza, which turned out to be such a fun find. Known for their NYC-style pizza, it’s easy to see why they’ve built such a strong reputation. And if you’re like me and love a sweet-and-savory combo, their hot honey pizza is everything. Safe to say, there’s a reason they’re so highly rated.

And of course, I couldn’t leave without a sweet treat. We stopped by Sweet Peaks Ice Cream, and it was the perfect way to end the day. Their ice cream is handcrafted in nearby Whitefish, with creative and seasonal flavors that really stand out. Even something as simple as vanilla tasted elevated. It was that good.

When you visit Clark Farms Silos, be sure to tell them I said hello – our *SURPRISE* engagement trip was so magical, and I already can’t wait to go back and make more memories!
