Top Local Florists in the Inland Northwest
When it comes to Spokane florists (and beyond), we’re lucky to have a blooming handful of talented designers and local flower farms right here in the Inland Northwest—and even more just across the border in North Idaho and on to the Palouse! As winter fades and spring bursts onto the scene with vibrant color, many of us start scanning the landscape (and our Pinterest boards) for those first cheerful signs of floral life.
As winter subsides and gives way to the burst of energy spring in the Inland Northwest graciously offers, our eyes naturally search for the first pops of color as the buds break through the cold and still slightly frozen ground. Since the time my daughters were little, we would take expectant walks through our field during those early spring days, looking for the first brave buttercup of the season in hope of getting their picture in the local newspaper. However, not even the published photo of their smiling faces was as fulfilling as spying those yellow buds against the stark, brown earth.

Our Inland Northwest winters can make a heart long for the extended days and bold hues of springtime, and looking for spokane florists (and North Idaho florists) to help make our homes and events more cheerful. It’s amazing what a little dash of color on the windowsill can do to lift the spirits and brighten our space. If you too find yourself with downcast eyes silently scanning the ground as you walk or feeling the grey of winter dampening your soul, we’d like to share a few of our favorite local florists and flower farms ready and waiting to brighten your days.

Gracey’s Flower Farm – Fairfield, WA

Located in the picturesque fields of the northern Palouse region, Stacey Karlis (owner & creative gardener) has turned her passion into a profession. She fondly reminisces of time with her Grandma Shields as a little girl creating bouquets of Queen Anne’s Lace collected on their walks. As a stay-at-home-mom and military wife of 20 years, Stacey, also a veteran, was seeking something fun and new, without losing the opportunity to be actively involved and present for her family. It was her four daughters who encouraged her to follow her natural talent and love of flowers.
The blooms have certainly taken root in Stacey’s heart and she has mastered the art of creating breath-taking bouquets and arrangements that not only highlight, but enhance, the beauty and capture the feel of any event. While her arrangements could certainly take center stage, she has a way of ensuring that they are more like the finishing touch. Every bouquet, boutonniere, arrangement and flower look as if they were solely waiting for her gentle touch to create something so beautiful. The simple, yet elegant beauty repeatedly takes my breath away with each prom corsage I’ve purchased from Stacey over the years of raising my own daughters.
Her gardens overflow with blooms ranging from dahlias, ranunculus, snapdragons, zinnias, cosmos, sunflowers, ornamental kale and more. When asked what her favorite flower might be, she laughed, saying choosing one was like choosing her favorite child, before finally settling on an answer. “Cottage yarrow, I’d have to say. Which is funny because it’s considered a weed around here, but it comes in so many amazing colors. And anything with fragrance. That’s something you can’t buy at the store, flowers with fragrance.”
You can find Stacey at the Liberty Lake Farmer’s Market, beginning the Saturday after Mother’s Day and continuing each week from 9:00 to 1:00 into October. She shares it’s a great place to see unique flowers from various vendors, excellent home-grown food, and a wide variety of booths.
One final note… I asked Stacey about the name of her farm: where did Gracey come from? She laughed and explained when her daughter was little she loved playing “business”. When they were baking it was a bakery, when they were eating it was a store, and so on. One day, around the age of 6, Stacey asked her daughter if they had a store, what it would be called? Without hesitation her daughter replied, “Gracey’s”. When asked to explain she said, “When you squish Daddy’s name (Greg) and your name (Stacey) together, you get Gracey.” Family runs deep through these roots.

Sowing Joy Farm – Post Falls, Idaho
444 S Gallatin Rd Post Falls, ID 83854
Sowing Joy Farm isn’t just a name—it’s a way of life on a flower-filled slice of land in Northern Idaho. Tucked among the rolling hills, this family-run farm is the vision and heartbeat of Ondrea, a farmer-florist who grows blooms with intention, purpose, and a deep-rooted love for the land. With her husband Chad, six grown kids, a sweet granddaughter, and a few four-legged farm companions in tow, she’s cultivated more than just rows of petals—she’s built a place where beauty and sustainability walk hand in hand.

Every bouquet that leaves Sowing Joy is more than pretty—it’s personal. This isn’t your grocery store floral section! Ondrea grows every stem with the belief that flowers should mean something. Whether it’s a joyful farm workshop, a dreamy wedding installation, or a hand-tied bundle of blooms left on a doorstep “just because,” there’s a magic in what’s grown here—and you can feel it the second you arrive.
But what really makes this place shine? It’s the giving. Ondrea donates flowers across the community and beyond, sharing arrangements with people walking through grief, healing, or just needing a reminder that they’re seen. The blooms she grows aren’t just for show—they’re part of a mission to connect, to comfort, and to celebrate what makes life meaningful.
If you’re looking for florals that carry heart, not hype—or dreaming up a farm-stay weekend surrounded by beauty and chickens—Sowing Joy Farm is the kind of place you need to experience. Reach out to Ondrea at [email protected] to make something beautiful together.

A Town & Country Floral – Cheney, WA
113 F St, Suite 1
509-235-8991

After completing her AA in horticulture here in Washington State, Sabrina set off to California at the urging of her grandma, who recognized that staying in her small town would not gain her the knowledge and experience she dreamed of. 20 years later, she purchased A Town and Country Floral (then located in downtown Spokane) the same year her son was born. “You have a lot more energy when you’re young!” she tells me when I ask how she managed to take over a store and raise a child simultaneously. She laughs remembering stories of him going to work with her: setting up displays, taking orders, and even helping with wedding events over the years. Skills he remembers to this day.

You see, Sabrina’s love for flowers is nearly as deep as her love for her son. She believes deeply in her craft and the care and attention put into every detail and arrangement she handles. It is obvious her devotion also extends to her customers as she shares stories of running to get nylons, calm nervous mothers, make day-of order changes all in the name of devotion and service. In fact, while sharing her story with me, she’s elbow deep in stems, just over a week after carpal tunnel surgery. “I can’t use scissors, but I can still use my knife!” she states triumphantly.
A Town and Country Floral, now located just off of Cheney’s main street, focuses on weddings and what she terms as statement pieces typically reserved for funerals and celebrations of life. Her statement pieces are more like masters of art, with flowers arranged to look like teddy bears, puppies, eagles, semi trucks… whatever symbolizes the memory of the person being honored. Subscription packages are featured on her website offering weekly, monthly or quarterly deliveries… a beautiful way to continually remind someone you’re thinking of them.
“Make a friend with a local florist and she’ll take care of you forever.” Now that’s something you surely can’t get from the grocery store!
Pearl & Tin – Coeur d’Alene, ID
2605 N 4th St

@pearlandtin
Every wedding holds special meaning, but of all the weddings Tyler Robb of Pearl & Tin has done, there is one that will forever hold her heart. Due to personal reasons, the bride’s parents couldn’t be present, and the bride chose to walk down the aisle unaccompanied. However, she suffered an anxiety attack moments before the ceremony. Looking at Robb she found her comfort. “I didn’t hesitate to say yes and be there for her in that moment,” Tyler tells me. “Once I got her halfway down the aisle, I gave her a pat on the back and I said, “you got this” and she walked the rest of the way down by herself and had the most beautiful wedding. It was so meaningful.”

This is the service you receive when hiring Pearl & Tin to (literally) walk alongside you. She provides tremendous care in planning your wedding. Tyler and her team have an eye for creating events that look as if they came from the page of a magazine – elegant, timeless, and flowing. Where many florists begin with flowers and naturally expand into the wedding scene, Robb took her own path beginning in 2015 as an event planner who expanded her magical touch to include flowers in 2020. Interesting considering that was the year the world shut down and most events and weddings were postponed or cancelled. “We were able to be creative and find ways to have small and intimate, yet meaningful weddings amongst the chaos of the world.”
When asked where her passion began, she explained simply that her grandmother was the Matriarch and relished in planning events for days on end, if not weeks. It’s thanks to her inspiration and modeling that Tyler found her calling and also named her business after her grandma.
Infused with this natural design talent, Robb’s flowers & passion are obvious throughout the entire space – the bouquets & boutonnieres, table decor, photo booth backdrops, the wedding arch… you name it and Tyler has used unquestionable talents to tailor your event down to the “t” in Tin. Pearl & Tin’s flowers are, quite literally, the topping on the cake!
Besides weddings and event services, Pearl & Tin offers floral subscription packages in addition to candles, cards, and a new storefront option with thoughtful items arranged beautifully on the shelving.

In Bloom – Spokane, WA

In Bloom is an urban flower farm nestled in the Historic Garland District of Spokane, a mere 5 minute drive from downtown. Tia, owner, operator, and floral stylist describes her passion as an addiction from birth. In fact, for her 8th birthday she asked for (and received) a Magnolia tree. She fondly remembers spending time in her grandparents’ gardens growing up.
Her entrepreneurial journey has gone from floral enthusiast to flower gardener to, most recently, wedding florist with daily deliveries and funeral arrangements on the side. The flower garden, which takes up the better part of three city lots, is devoted to her brides these days. In it you will find the more “flower-farmy-blooms” such as dahlias, sweet peas, lisianthus and more. The species that prove challenging to ship. It is this specialty that creates incredible floral designs and wedding bouquets that rival top-of-the-line arrangements without the expense of imported flowers.

This year Tia is excited to introduce her new Bulk Flower packages to brides and DIY’ers alike. The ready-to-arrange kits provide you with enough flowers to produce all of the boutonnieres, bridesmaid bouquets, table centerpieces, and more while keeping the budget at a price most can afford. Imagine buying the very tubers from Tia to plant in your own garden, nurture over time and cut to use in your wedding bouquet. A living piece of your wedding for years to come (assuming you keep them alive! The flowers that is). Aside from a beautiful bundle of blooms, you will come away with a multitude of resources and insight on creating aesthetically pleasing arrangements, flower care, and more. The Grand will cost a mere $ (compared to upwards of $5,000 – $10,000 for similar flower arrangements).
“This is my way of getting beautiful, heirloom, quality flowers into the hands of brides at a reasonable price,”she explains. Everyone deserves to have a beautiful bouquet in hand as they walk towards their future.Talking to Tia has me dreaming of my own daughters’ weddings that will be a part of our story. I can envision growing the flowers that will walk down the aisle in my daughters’ hands and adorn the tabletops. I see them scattered on a table one afternoon with family and friends, laughing, hands deep into stems and those farmy blooms that will decorate the big day. Memories included
