Best New Restaurants in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho
Emran Restaurant

Emran Restaurant brings rich Afghan flavors to the heart of North Idaho, which is tough to do. They are so warm and welcoming, and the service is top-notch. It’s also family-run and operated, and they are so passionate about sharing their cuisine with the community. The menu is absolutely packed with standout dishes, but our personal favorite is the eggplant curry. It’s perfectly spiced, silky in texture, and comes with your choice of rice or naan (pro tip: always go naan). The Aush is another must-try—an ultra-savory chickpea and beef dip that’s thick, hearty, and deeply satisfying. Their dolma wraps are hand-rolled in-house and served fresh daily, offering a bright and tangy contrast to the rich mains.
But the real star of the show is the Kabuli Palau. Served with a bed of brown rice, it’s topped with sweet raisins and carrots, then crowned with a lamb shank so tender it practically melts off the bone. The flavor is uniquely Emran—fragrant, balanced, and deeply comforting. Every bite of this dish tells a story, and together with the restaurant’s genuine hospitality, it’s easy to see why locals and visitors alike keep coming back. If you’re looking for the best Afghan food in Coeur d’Alene, Emran belongs at the very top of your list. It’s located at 309 E Lakeside Ave in downtown Coeur d’Alene.
The Lanai

Step out of Coeur d’ Alene and into a Hawaiian-inspired interior in Midtown’s newest foodie destination, The Lanai. The menu isn’t traditional Hawaiian fare, but it’s fantastic. Grab a coffee (we love their Akami Signatures, like The Hawaiian Honeybee) and enjoy their island inspired breakfast, brunch, or lunch items.
We tried and loved the Egg Toast (sourdough, eggs, feta cheese, pickled veggies and pesto) and the Lox + Cream (sourdough, smoked salmon, and cream cheese). Next on our list: the Bhán Mi Sandwich and French Toast!
The Lanai is located in Midtown at 821 N 4th Street.
The Daily Brew

If you’re familiar with the Coeur d’Alene area, you know that most of us eat on the run! Coffee stands are a very popular way to get that daily dose of caffeine AND a great meal when you’re hurrying to your next appointment. One of our absolute favorites is Daily Brew, which offers organic espresso and made-to-order food.
Daily Brew has an extensive menu featuring Specialty Drinks (Lavender Matcha, anyone?), smoothies, teas, energy and blended drinks, mouth watering sandwiches (I’m craving their club sandwich on a jalapeno cheddar bagel as I write this), and even a full drink menu specifically for kiddos! They also have a “Daily Dose” and “Daily Buzz,” i.e. their daily coffee and energy drink specials.
Daily Brew is located at 1113 N 4th Street. They are currently in what was formerly the “Taproot Espresso” stand, so stay tuned for their ongoing rebrand!
Best New Restaurants in Hayden, Idaho

B. Boulangerie

B. Boulangerie is Hayden’s latest gem! The Grab & Go Retail Bakery features housemade pastries, chocolates, custom cakes, and drip coffee.
We tasted (okay, devoured) the Nutella Croissant and the Cream Cheese Frosting Cinnamon Roll. The croissant’s layers were delicately flaky, and the golden-brown crust had the perfect crunch. The cinnamon roll was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the cream cheese frosting on top was smooth and creamy. These paired perfectly with our drip coffees with a dash of cream (our new favorite way to take our coffee).
B. Boulangerie is located at 8214 N. Government Way in Hayden. They are open from Tuesday-Saturday from 7 AM until 3 PM, or until they’re sold out for the day.

Dam Bar and Restaurant

Looking to pair your meal with sweeping river views? If so, you need to come check out the Dam Bar and Restaurant. Chef Patrick Hughes’ menu offers bold, delicous flavors for breakfast, brunch, and dinner.
We got to try the South of the Border Omlet, which features chorizo, sauteed veggies, cheese, and drizzled with a creamy sauce. All egg based breakfast items can come in the form of a breakfast bowl, omelet, or burrito. This was such a standout for us, and one of the best breakfast items we’ve had in a long time! We also had the Ahi Tuna and the Filet Mignon, both of which were perfectly prepared. We can’t recommend this restaurant enough!
The Dam Bar and Restaurant is located at 414 E. First Avenue Post Falls.

The Couch Potato Food Truck

Have you been to the gem that is the Post Falls Pavilion? It’s an outdoor/indoor food court filled with a variety of food trucks and vendors. One of our favorites is the Couch Potato Food Truck.
Their menu is filled with fun options, and all can be made as loaded fries or a baked potato. We chose loaded fries and ordered the Animal House (ground beef, american cheese, grilled onions, cheese sauce and fry sauce) and The Sandlot (red chili, cheese sauce, jalapenos, sour cream, onions and chives).
The Couch Potato Food Truck is located in the Post Falls Pavillion: 3758 Horsehaven Avenue, Post Falls.
New restaurants in our area are popping up all the time, and we love nothing more than to share them with you all. What new restaurants should we try next?
