In 2026, I decided to start taking my wellness more seriously. Not just eating better, but prioritizing things that genuinely help me feel better and support long-term health.

Earlier this year, I started a Wellness Wednesday series on my Trending CDA page. Each week, I visit and try a new local wellness destination, whether it’s fitness, recovery, or another health-focused experience. Through the series, I’ve learned so much about the different ways we can support our bodies and minds, and I’ve also discovered some truly incredible local businesses along the way.

The series is still going strong, so be sure to follow @trending.cda to keep up with future Wellness Wednesday spots and discover even more places focused on helping you feel your best.

Symmetry Sauna Studio

Symmetry Sauna Studio

Formerly known as Heat Praxia, Symmetry Sauna Studio has been a wellness staple in Coeur d’Alene for years. All of their saunas are dry rock saunas, and guests who book a private session also get access to their own red light panel. Those enjoying the communal sauna can take advantage of a dedicated red light therapy room.

Sessions last one hour, giving you plenty of time to rotate between the sauna, cold plunge, and red light therapy to maximize recovery and relaxation!

Sportive Studio

Located in the heart of Coeur d’Alene, Sportive Studio is redefining what a modern wellness space can look like. As the first studio of its kind in the area, Sportive blends luxury aesthetic bodywork with reformer pilates, creating a truly elevated, body-first experience.
While the Coeur d’Alene location is new, Sportive is far from it. After building a loyal, results-driven client base in Spokane over the past four years, the team has become known for their expertise in Brazilian lymphatic drainage massage, a treatment designed to reduce inflammation, support recovery, and visibly sculpt the body. It’s not just a trend here, it’s a technique they’ve refined and mastered.

If you have time to stay and relax, you can also enjoy waffles, toast, or a matcha in their welcoming café space. With four locations throughout North Idaho, it’s an easy stop wherever you are. Some of their locations even have a drive through so it is super convent to grab a premade salad and head out!

PNW Sauna

PNW Sauna offers a unique take on traditional sauna experiences with their mobile, wood-fired sauna on wheels. This personal sauna can be delivered to a variety of locations (in Coeur d’Alene), making it a flexible and memorable way to enjoy the benefits of heat therapy.

One of the most popular setups is having the sauna delivered near Lake Coeur d’Alene, allowing guests to pair the heat of the sauna with a refreshing cold plunge in the lake.
