If you are looking to push boundaries, embrace your body, and make the streets of Spokane your daily runway, you need to check out the edgy, bohemian, inclusive stylings of Kodie Tindel at Rebel Hart Co., a clothing boutique now located on Monroe Street in Spokane.

We no longer have to globe trot to stay on top of the trends. Rebel Hart Co. allows Spokane locals (and anyone across the country via robust online offerings) to access cutting-edge, on-trend pieces, all while supporting a small, female-owned business. In fact, thanks to the forward-thinking, mission-driven owner Tindel, these beautiful pieces are available in sizes XS-3X.

The slogan “I hope you feel pretty today” permeates the entire shopping experience. Tindel states that “we want our customers to feel more than just pretty–we want them to feel empowered, valued, and proud of who they are.”

Each season, Tindel redefines edgy, bohemian, and inclusive fashion. Her current offerings are no exception. We are swooning over the 70's-inspired knits, bold patterns, and florals with cuts that perfectly combine practical staples with statement pieces and blend the masculine with the feminine. The denim is flattering, comfortable, and fashion forward, and as always, Tindel brings an edge to her perfectly-curated boho chic style.

As a child, Tindel used fashion as a means of self-expression and a way to stand out, and today she is helping us all to do the same. It’s not surprising that she invariably embodies the trends we see on the runways just before the rest of us catch on. For example, at Vancouver Fashion Week, our team saw first-hand how the color green has attained staple status and will remain on its throne for the foreseeable future. As if she is tuned into the very same muses, Tindel offers a range of green pieces that will keep you on-trend all season long. Knitted and crocheted items are experiencing a comeback that would make even Betty White proud, and Tindel’s current collection celebrates this comeback with flattering, effortless pieces for every body type.

It is the socially-driven trends that have us in a chokehold, though. On the runways in both Boise and Vancouver, we loved seeing the lines blurred that divide the fashion elite and haute couture from those of us who will only ever buy ready-to-wear. We reveled in the strengthened harmony among genders, socioeconomic statuses and lifestyles, and we let out a giant sigh of relief when we saw that flexibility, accessibility and practicality are being increasingly adopted as means of avoiding fast fashion. (FINALLY, the average person will be able to curate a collection of quality, cutting-edge pieces!)

Tindel echoes this in her commitment to inclusivity and accessibility. She champions the idea that fashion should be flexible, accessible, and practical with size inclusivity and a commitment to providing quality pieces at attainable prices. If this excites you, just wait for her fall collection!

We can't wait to see you on Aug. 31st!
